The final step: automate to be more productive
You have reached module 5 of 5. You already know how to write, summarize and present with AI. Now comes what gives you back the most time: automating repetitive tasks so the AI works for you.
In this lesson you will see what to automate, what not to automate, how to create workflows and which tools to use without coding.
What to automate and what not to
Not everything deserves automation. The rule is clear:
- Automate repetitive tasks with clear rules that repeat.
- Do not automate tasks that require judgment, creativity or high responsibility.
| Automate | Do not automate |
|---|---|
| Replying to standard emails | Replying to important complaint emails |
| Classifying leads by category | Deciding which client to prioritize |
| Generating periodic reports | Making the final decision |
| Translating documents | Reviewing the final translation of a contract |
| Transcribing meetings | Interpreting what was decided |
AI prepares; you decide.
First practical examples
Here are five automations you can set up today:
| Task | How | Tool |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to emails | AI drafts replies based on templates | ChatGPT + Zapier |
| Classify leads | Each new lead is tagged by sector or interest | Make + AI |
| Generate reports | Summarize data into an automatic weekly report | Zapier + ChatGPT |
| Translation | Translate new content automatically | Claude for texts |
| Transcription | Transcribe and summarize recorded meetings | Whisper/Otter + AI |
Automation tools without coding
To connect apps and tasks you need a "glue" between them. The two big ones are:
- Zapier: connects thousands of apps with triggers and actions. Has a free plan.
- Make (formerly Integromat): powerful alternative with visual logic and a free plan too.
Inside them, the AI can write, summarize or classify the content that moves from one app to another. You do not write code: you define "if this happens, do this".
Workflow step by step
Here is a real example: automatic weekly sales report.
- A trigger detects new data (e.g., a sales spreadsheet).
- Zapier/Make sends that data to the AI.
- The AI summarizes the figures and drafts a short report.
- The report is sent to your email or team chat.
- It repeats every week without you doing anything.
That same scheme (detect → process → generate → deliver) works for many workflows.
Start small
My advice to avoid overwhelm:
- Choose one task that costs you time every week.
- Build it first in a chat with ChatGPT to validate the result.
- Connect it with Zapier or Make only if it is recurring.
- Review it the first few times until you trust it.
- Iterate: adjust the prompt or steps if it fails.
Two or three good automations beat twenty badly made ones.
Course conclusion: you now know how to work with AI
In five modules you have learned: fundamentals, writing better, summarizing documents, creating presentations and automating. If you have practiced, you already work better with AI than 90% of people. You do not need more: you need to apply it every day.
AI does not replace you: it gives you speed and removes the boring parts. You bring the judgment, the review and the important decisions.

Author's opinion
We are five modules in, and this is the one with the most real impact on your productivity. The previous modules make you faster; this one frees you from the whole task. When you automate a recurring email or report, the time you gain multiplies every week. It is the difference between using AI as a tool and using it as a system.
That said, in moderation: automating something bad means automating an error, only faster. Start small, validate each workflow and do not try to automate everything at once. Real productivity comes from a few well-made automations, not many badly designed ones. Now, you have completed the course. Congratulations!

Frequently asked questions
What tasks can I automate with AI?
The repetitive ones with clear rules: replying to emails, classifying leads, generating reports, translating or transcribing meetings. Avoid automating tasks that require human judgment or high precision and responsibility.
How do I really save time with AI?
Do not automate for the sake of it. Start with the task that costs you the most time, calculate how much each workflow saves you and choose only the ones worth it. Recurrence is the key.
Do I need to know how to code to automate?
No, not to start. Tools like Zapier and Make work with visual logic of triggers and actions, without writing code. You only need to understand the 'if this happens, then do this' logic.
What tools automate with AI?
Zapier and Make are the most popular for connecting apps. Inside them, AI can write, classify or summarize. ChatGPT and Claude also work for individual tasks with a good prompt.
